Busy.

I am back from Seattle and have much to share. However, final projects are due and I have a ton of work left to do. Full re-cap of my trip to Seattle will come later this week.

For now I will leave you with this adorable story from Capucine:

Home.

Tomorrow I am off to Seattle for a week of relaxing at home and eating wonderful food. Steve and I have based our entire itinerary around restaurants...and turkey day!!

So what's on our itinerary?
  1. Vivace. best. espresso. ever.
  2. Ride the Ducks...I have yet to do this and am so excited we are finally going this time!!
  3. Plenty of Asian food: Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese, Indian...
  4. Turkey Day!! This year Steve, my dad and I will be joining our neighbors for dinner. so excited.
  5. Pike Place Market.
  6. Dick's Drive-In. greasy goodness.
  7. The original Nordstrom...oh how I miss real shopping (small towns suck).
  8. Westlake's 20th annual tree lighting ceremony. Fun in the...rain.
  9. ...and much more. we are bad decision-makers and haven't decided what else we'll fit in.

Christmas cards.

I absolutely love Christmas...and I especially love Christmas cards. MoMA has the most adorable and fun pop-up holiday cards this year...pop on over to their site (pun slightly intended) for some fun and easy holiday gifts and decorations (way cute ornaments and table decorations also!!)

Wanted: creativity.

Writer's block. Ugh. Creativity and ingenuity for both this blog and my school projects are failing me this week. I think this snow has sent me into an early hibernation...hot chocolate anyone? I believe it is time for a long winter's nap?

Snow.

It's snowing...and way too cold outside. I'm currently sitting in a quite(ish) restaurant drinking hot coffee milk tea with my friend while working on some homework and trying not to think about tomorrow...when I'll have to walk to class...in the snow. Ew.

Old school.

After mindlessly browsing some blogs, I came across this awesome online store from Mary and Matt...and they sell Fruit Stripe gum!! I had totally forgotten about this amazing, fruity gum that I was completely obsessed with way back when.

Now that I am completely taken back to my childhood, here are some of my old favs...

After a late evening of watching a movie and drinking chai with Laura and her friends, the only thing I feel like doing today is sit at Cafe Vivace and drink a latte. Unfortunately, I am not in Seattle (until Thanksgiving week!!...thank you fall break) and am stuck at work and on campus most of the day.

However, Steve arrives at the world's smallest airport in 30 minutes and tonight will include a trip to an amazing Japanese restaurant for dinner with some of our fabulous friends.

For Laura.

Tea and poached fruit....safe to consume for my friend who is allergic to raw fruits and veggies (I know...how tragic!!)

Find the recipe here.

San Diego.

As promised.

Our trip to San Diego was filled with Dia de los Muertos fun and a fabulous wedding of Steve's best friend from high school. Steve was co-best man, along with their friend Sean (who's girlfriend sat with me in the 'girlfriend corner' during the wedding...such a fun couple!!). The bride and groom are amazing and beautiful and I can only wish the best for them (Mr. and Mrs. W - baby soon?...I hope so!!).

P.S. The food was wonderful.

We also went to Old Town San Diego on Saturday, Nov. 1st for Dia de los Muertos. Old Town had a Zirk Ubu perform during the day and in the evening for a fabulous performace centered around Dia de los Muertos.

...more pictures to come after Steve sends them to me!!

School sucks.

Grad school sucks. My apologies for my lack of posting...projects are piling up and the impending threat of studying for the MCAT has me more stressed than ever. Hopefully I can gain some time management skills and start blogging daily...hopefully. We'll see.

My goal for the evening: Share some lovely pictures from our trip to San Diego (after class gets out at 10).

Check back soon.
